Hospitals generate rich data through their activities, which are used to continuously improve services provided. However, much of this improvement is dependent on manual labour, with staff combing through electronic health records to create curated datasets. With limited analysis resources, the full insight cannot be extracted from these datasets. As a result, learning from health service data can be expensive, slow, and bespoke. SaTH maternity services had recently undergone considerable reconfiguration in light of new mandates around maternity care. However, they were unable to maximise the impact of their datasets to support care.
Outcome
Dexter has provided an automated solution to generating knowledge from healthcare data. It extracts from records in sophisticated study designs to create analysis-ready with automated, customisable reporting, or provides the user with the data to perform their own analysis. A working example is provided in the images below with the data schematic provided too.
